Who do I contact for help with VA home loan?

We have a VA home loan and want to buy a house but have been told our credit is’nt good enough. We have a guaranteed loan and we have the income to buy. We want to buy in Pearland, Texas. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP.

    I would try another lender. VA loans do not have a minimum credit score, however, they do have a minimum credit criteria, there is a difference…if your credit has substantially changed, then that is why you are getting turned away.

    VA loans are not wholely guaranteed, only a PORTION of the loan is guaranteed. That alone, isn’t a reason to give someone a VA loan…otherwise a bank wouldn’t require an application process for them.

    When you do a second VA loan, the funding fee increases.

    It would be helpful to know EXACTLY what they say about your credit that they turned you away….they never say that “it’s not good enough”, they usually give specific reasons.

    If you’re buying in Texas and you’re a veteran, call USAA and ask about the Tex-Vet loan program. Better interest rate than regular loans and USAA waives BOTH the origination fee and the Tex-Vet participation fee (each are usually 1% thru other lenders)
