Who else has a 541 credit score and has received an auto loan?
phxman asked:
I want to know what company you got your loan through. Thanks.

It is not just your score a loan is based from. It is also what types of negative things you have on your credit bureau, how long you have been on your job, how long you have lived at your address, what your monthly income is, what your monthly debt is and so on.
I sell cars for a living

I have a score of about the same. I got a 2004 Mustang in Nov. The company that gave me a loan is called Drive Financial Services.

Trust me, you can get a car. Most likely at a used Car Lot, or even at a big dealership. The most important thing is that you can pay your payment each month, have reliable income, and they aren’t afraid you are going to skip out, although they are good at finding people even they do skip out. They have the money to hire big people to repo cars for them. Also, you can go to repo sales at dealerships sometimes, and get good deals for low down & low monthly payments. Just shop around. You’d be surprised. These people do want to sell you a car. But you’ve got to have SOMEthing positive proof about yourself – solid address, job. even maybe reference. But you just look around, you will get a car. Having a decent down payment isn’t a bad idea. You know, money talks, bullcrap walks. Good luck. My credit isn’t great, and I always get offers in the mail to “please come in and pick out the car of your choice” but I’ve got a car paid for already, so no sale.

I had a 540 and got a loan through captial one for 30000. Of course I make 80000 and do not have a lot a debt anymore. The rate was high though 16.9%. And you have to send them paystub. But I got approved and less than 2 hours and now am driving a nice Navigator. Gas is killing thought. Anyway you can also apply for a cap. loan then when you bring it into the dealership you can see if they can beat that interest rate. They beat mine by 2% but the terms were different (shorter loan, higher payments) so I stuck with cap one. You can apply at
and remeber you can apply for as many car loans as you like in a 30 day period without it effecting your credit so shop around. There are three on that site I posted that you can apply for. Good Luck
