I think it depends on your state, but in general you would need to sell her the car. You may be on the title, but to remove yourself, you would have to &quot;sell&quot; it to her. It maybe easier since you are married, but then they are going to ask why you want off the car. 

Refinancing will let you add a co-signer, but you can&#039;t take the main person off the title.</description>
